Product sourcing support through SourceLink is designed for situations where what you need goes beyond what is listed in our standard catalogue. It is a specialist service run by our expert sourcing team, headed by John Docherty, who work with a wide network of suppliers to find products that are difficult to source through normal retail channels.
SourceLink is best suited for:
Specialist or niche items — products not commonly stocked by general trade suppliers
Specific brand or part number requirements — where you need an exact match, not a generic alternative
Project quantities — bulk or volume orders that require bespoke pricing
Hard-to-find products — discontinued lines, import-only items, or products with limited UK availability
Alternate brand sourcing — where your preferred brand is unavailable and you need a like-for-like alternative
Technical or specification-driven purchases — where the exact rating, material, or configuration matters
SourceLink complements the standard Sitex Direct and Power-Hub ecommerce experience — it does not replace it. If a product is already listed on our website, you should purchase it directly through the store. SourceLink is for requirements that fall outside the listed catalogue. There is no minimum order value requirement for submitting an RFQ, but sourcing support is most valuable for orders of meaningful size or complexity.
All sourcing requests are handled directly by our specialist procurement team. John Docherty leads the SourceLink service and brings extensive experience in industrial, electrical, and trade supply chains. Your request will be reviewed personally and sourced through our established supplier network across the UK and internationally where required.
There is no charge for submitting an RFQ or receiving a quotation. Costs are built into the pricing quoted for the product. You are under no obligation to proceed with a purchase after receiving a quote.
To submit a sourcing request, visit the SourceLink page on Sitex Direct or Power-Hub and complete the RFQ form. See How to Submit an RFQ for a full walkthrough of the submission process.
