If you need to temporarily pause your store — for example during holidays, a stock replenishment period, or a planned closure — you can enable Vacation Mode from your vendor dashboard. This prevents customers from placing orders while your store is unavailable, protecting your fulfilment performance and reputation.
Log into your vendor dashboard
Go to Store Settings in the left-hand navigation
Find the Vacation Mode section
Toggle Vacation Mode On
Optionally add a message to display to customers who visit your store while it is paused — for example: "We are currently closed for the holiday period and will return on [date]. Thank you for your patience."
Save your settings
Your products will not appear in marketplace search results
Customers visiting your storefront will see your vacation message
No new orders can be placed from your store
Existing orders that were placed before you enabled vacation mode must still be fulfilled — vacation mode does not pause or cancel existing orders
When you are ready to resume trading, return to Store Settings → Vacation Mode and toggle it Off. Your store and products will become visible and purchasable again immediately.
Enable vacation mode as early as possible before a planned closure — do not wait until the last minute
Set a clear return date in your vacation message so customers know when to expect you back
Fulfil any outstanding orders before enabling vacation mode where possible
If your closure is unexpected or urgent, contact the Sitex marketplace team at support[at]sitexdirect.com so we can assist with any open orders
