Sitex Direct | Affiliate Programme Terms

1. Introduction and Scope

These Affiliate Programme Terms apply to approved affiliates, publishers, creators, trade partners, promotional partners, referrers, marketing partners and any person or business that promotes Sitex Direct in return for potential commission, account credit, reward or other referral benefit.

The affiliate programme is intended to support lawful, transparent and commercially responsible promotion of Sitex Direct. It is not intended to support misleading advertising, artificial traffic, commission manipulation, unauthorised brand bidding or activity that damages customer trust.

2. Approval and Participation

Participation in the affiliate programme is subject to approval by Sitex Direct or by any affiliate platform appointed by Sitex Direct. Approval is not automatic. Sitex Direct may approve, decline, review, suspend or terminate affiliate participation based on website quality, promotional method, brand suitability, compliance history, fraud risk, traffic source, commercial fit or programme capacity.

Affiliates must provide accurate information when applying and must keep account details, payment details, promotional channels and contact information up to date. Sitex Direct may request additional information about traffic sources, promotional methods or campaign activity at any time.

3. Affiliate Relationship

Affiliates act as independent promotional partners. They are not employees, agents, representatives, franchisees or legal partners of Sitex Direct. An affiliate must not state or imply that it is authorised to bind Sitex Direct, approve discounts, confirm product availability, provide legal commitments, handle customer complaints, guarantee delivery or speak on behalf of Sitex Direct.

Affiliates may describe Sitex Direct honestly and may direct potential customers to the website, but they must ensure that any description of products, pricing, delivery, returns, warranties, promotions or trade services is accurate, current and not misleading.

4. Permitted Promotion

Affiliates may promote Sitex Direct using approved websites, content pages, comparison content, product guides, business directories, trade resources, email lists where lawful consent exists, social media accounts, video content, professional referrals or other channels approved by Sitex Direct.

Promotional content must be lawful, clear, professional and suitable for the Sitex Direct brand. Claims about price, discount, product range, delivery speed, warranty, supplier-direct fulfilment, marketplace availability, trade pricing or stock availability must not be exaggerated or presented as guaranteed unless Sitex Direct has expressly confirmed the claim in writing.

5. Advertising Standards and Disclosure

Affiliates are responsible for complying with applicable advertising, consumer protection, privacy, data protection, email marketing, platform and disclosure rules. Where affiliate links, paid promotions, sponsored content, commission arrangements or referral incentives are used, the affiliate must make any required disclosure clearly and prominently.

Affiliate content must not mislead customers into believing that a discount, offer, endorsement, review, ranking or recommendation is independent if it is influenced by commission or commercial relationship. Sitex Direct may require content to be corrected, removed or updated where it creates compliance or reputational risk.

6. Prohibited Promotion

Affiliates must not use spam, unlawful email marketing, misleading discount claims, fake endorsements, false reviews, unauthorised brand bidding, forced clicks, cookie stuffing, self-referrals, malware, adware, hidden frames, automated traffic, fake accounts, voucher abuse, domain impersonation, typo-squatting, misleading social profiles or any practice designed to artificially generate commission.

Affiliates must not bid on restricted brand terms, use Sitex Direct trademarks in domain names without permission, imitate the Sitex Direct website, represent themselves as Sitex Direct, copy product data at scale without approval, create fake checkout experiences or redirect customers through deceptive links.

7. Commission Eligibility

Commission is payable only on valid qualifying transactions that are properly tracked, approved and not excluded under these terms or the applicable affiliate platform rules. A qualifying transaction normally requires a genuine customer referral, a completed order, accepted payment and no disqualifying activity.

Commission may be declined, reversed or withheld where an order is cancelled, refunded, returned, fraudulent, disputed, self-referred, duplicated, generated through prohibited methods, attributed to another channel, affected by tracking error, connected to misuse or not approved by Sitex Direct.

8. Attribution and Tracking

Affiliate tracking may depend on cookies, referral links, platform attribution rules, device settings, consent settings, browser restrictions, customer behaviour, last-click logic, voucher attribution or other technical factors. Sitex Direct does not guarantee that every referral, click or customer interaction will result in tracked commission.

Customers may clear cookies, decline cookies, use different devices, complete checkout through another channel or interact with other marketing channels before purchase. Where attribution is unclear, Sitex Direct may rely on the records of its affiliate platform, ecommerce platform, payment records and internal analytics.

9. Commission Rates and Payment

Commission rates may vary by product category, campaign, customer type, account type, margin, marketplace seller, supplier-direct arrangement, promotional period or written agreement. Sitex Direct may change commission rates, excluded categories, payout thresholds, approval windows, attribution rules or programme conditions at any time.

Commission payments may be subject to validation periods, refund windows, fraud checks, minimum payout thresholds, payment provider rules and affiliate platform processes. Sitex Direct is not responsible for payment delays caused by incomplete affiliate account information, platform processing, bank checks or compliance review.

10. Marketplace and Supplier-Direct Orders

Some Sitex Direct products may be supplied by marketplace sellers, suppliers, distributors or fulfilment partners. Commission eligibility for marketplace or supplier-direct orders may depend on commercial arrangements, product margins, seller participation, category exclusions or platform configuration.

Sitex Direct may exclude certain products, sellers, categories, trade account orders, credit account orders, bulk quotations, bespoke procurement orders, cancelled orders or manually processed orders from affiliate commission where appropriate.

11. Customer Data and Privacy

Affiliates must not collect, use, share or process customer personal data unlawfully. If an affiliate collects personal data for its own marketing, email campaigns, forms, tracking or analytics, the affiliate is responsible for its own privacy notices, lawful basis, consent records, security and compliance with UK GDPR, PECR and applicable laws.

Affiliates must not use customer data obtained through affiliate activity for unrelated purposes, resale, unauthorised marketing, profiling or transfer to third parties without a lawful basis and appropriate transparency.

12. Brand Protection

Affiliates must protect the Sitex Direct brand and must not publish content that is unlawful, offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, unsafe, misleading, adult, extremist, hateful, counterfeit-related, fraudulent or inconsistent with the Sitex Direct commercial position.

Sitex Direct may require an affiliate to remove or amend promotional content where the content is inaccurate, outdated, non-compliant, harmful to customers, damaging to the brand or inconsistent with these terms.

13. Suspension and Termination

Sitex Direct may suspend or terminate affiliate participation immediately where fraud, misuse, misleading promotion, prohibited traffic, breach of advertising rules, brand abuse, customer complaints, suspicious conversion patterns or other risk is identified.

Where an affiliate account is suspended or terminated, Sitex Direct may withhold or reverse unpaid commission connected to breach, fraud, returned orders, cancelled orders, disputed transactions or prohibited activity.

14. Relationship With Other Terms

These Affiliate Programme Terms operate alongside the main Sitex Direct Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and any applicable affiliate platform terms. Where an affiliate also holds a customer account, trade account, seller account or credit account, the relevant additional terms apply to those activities separately.
