What is ONBOARD by Sitex Direct?
ONBOARD by Sitex Direct is a companion onboarding portal and optional premium listing service for Sitex Marketplace vendors — available at onboard.sitexdirect.com.
The important thing to understand first
As a Sitex Marketplace vendor, you already have access to your own free vendor portal on Sitex Direct, where you add and manage your products, handle orders, and run your storefront. That portal is your primary tool and it is free to use.
ONBOARD by Sitex Direct is separate and optional. It guides new vendors through the marketplace application process and offers product submission options at three clear levels — one free, one included with a paid plan, and one fully managed premium service.
💡 Getting your products onto Sitex Marketplace is free. There are no listing fees and no setup costs. You only pay commission when a sale completes.
Tier 1 — Free batch upload
Cost: Free, always. No plan required. No credits deducted.
The fastest way to get your full product catalogue live. Download the ONBOARD product template, fill in your product details — or use your own existing spreadsheet — and upload the file. ONBOARD by Sitex Direct automatically converts your data into the correct Sitex Marketplace format, gives you a preview, and notifies the Sitex team to review and publish.

Tier 2 — Submit a product
Cost: Included with any paid ONBOARD plan. Uses 1 credit per submission.
A clean, guided screen interface that walks you through submitting a single product step by step. Designed for vendors who prefer a form over a spreadsheet, or who are adding individual products one at a time.
Every single product submitted through this route receives a full professional treatment by the Sitex team before going live:
Full professional rewrite — your product title and description are rewritten by the Sitex team for clarity, search performance, and trade buyer conversion on the marketplace
Enhanced product imagery — where applicable, your product images are enhanced, reformatted, and sequenced to meet Sitex Direct marketplace presentation standards
Category and attribute placement — correctly placed with all relevant filters and specifications applied
Quality review before listing — every submission is reviewed before it appears live
Tier 3 — Managed listings
Cost: Monthly subscription or pay-as-you-go ad hoc. Entirely optional.
The most hands-off option. You provide your product information through a simple guided screen and the Sitex team handles everything — from writing and optimising your listing through to publishing it live on the Sitex Direct store.
Managed listings is available in two ways — with no obligation to subscribe:
Option A — Monthly or annual subscription
A recurring plan that gives you a set number of professionally managed product submissions each month. Best for vendors with an ongoing flow of new or updated products. Annual billing saves 15%.
Option B — Ad hoc (pay-as-you-go)
Submit individual products one at a time with no subscription and no ongoing commitment. Pay only for what you need, when you need it. Ideal for occasional additions or for vendors who want to try the service before committing to a plan.
As with Tier 2, every managed listing includes a full professional rewrite and image enhancement — taken further with dedicated copywriting, advanced SEO optimisation, and a higher level of polish and listing detail.
⚠️ This is not required to sell on Sitex Marketplace. Most vendors use the free batch upload and manage their own listings through Sitex Direct. Managed listings is a premium service for those who want it.
Tier 2 and Tier 3 — what the professional service includes
When you use Submit a product or Managed listings, your products are not simply published as-is. The Sitex team actively works on each one.

Team access
Your ONBOARD account supports up to three additional team members alongside the account owner. Product submissions, catalogue uploads, and account management can all be shared or delegated to colleagues within your business.
Commission and payouts
Sitex charges 12% commission on all completed sales. There are no listing fees, no setup fees, and no hidden costs. Payouts are processed monthly to your registered bank account.
