Customer Guide & Service Overview

About This Guide

This guide covers everything you need to know about using Sitex SourceLink — both how to submit a sourcing request and what the service offers. The guide is split into two parts:

Part 1 — How to Submit a Sourcing Request

Customer User Guide

This guide walks you through how to complete and submit a sourcing request using the Sitex SourceLink form on our website. The process is straightforward — just follow the steps below and our team will take it from there.

Finding the Form

The SourceLink sourcing form is available directly on the Sitex Direct website. To access it, visit:

sitexdirect.com/source-link

The form is open to all trade and commercial customers — no account or login is required. Simply visit the page in any browser on desktop or mobile.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1 — Your Contact Details
Enter your full name, company name, email address, and phone number. Name and email are required so we can come back to you with options.

Step 2 — Select Your Customer Type
Choose the option that best describes you — tradesperson, contractor, builder, procurement buyer, facilities manager, industrial business, or project manager. This helps our team tailor the response to your needs.

Step 3 — Describe the Product
This is the most important section. Include as much detail as you can about the product you need. Useful information includes:

Tip: The more detail you provide, the faster and more accurately we can source the right product. A part number or datasheet reference is always helpful if you have one.

Step 4 — Add Attachments (Optional)
Use the file upload area on the form to attach drawings, datasheets, photos, or reference documents. Click the upload zone or drag and drop files directly. Each file attached will show with a remove (×) button in case you upload something by mistake. Supported formats include PDF, images, and common document types — max 10MB per file.

Step 5 — Timescale & Priority
Use the dropdown menus to select how urgently you need the product and the type of enquiry — single purchase, bulk, recurring, or quote only. Optionally enter a budget range. This helps us prioritise your request appropriately.

Step 6 — Confirm Consent & Submit
Tick the consent checkbox to confirm you are happy for the Sitex SourceLink team to use your details to respond to your enquiry. Then click the Submit button at the bottom of the page.

After You Submit

Once submitted, the page will display a confirmation screen with your unique reference number (e.g. REF: SL-0041). You will also receive an automatic confirmation email to the address you provided — keep your reference number for any follow-up correspondence.

John Docherty and the Sitex SourceLink team will review your request and come back to you with suitable product options, pricing guidance, and availability details as soon as possible. Replying to the confirmation email will reach John directly.

Part 2 — Service Overview

Not every purchasing requirement fits neatly into an online catalogue. Sitex SourceLink is a dedicated RFQ and specialist sourcing service, designed for trade buyers, contractors, and procurement teams who need access to products that go beyond what is listed online.

Headed by John Docherty of Sitex Industrial, SourceLink gives customers a direct route to the wider Sitex supplier network — with a real person handling the search on your behalf.

Access Products Beyond the Website

Sitex SourceLink gives you access to a far broader range of products through our established supplier and trade network — including niche, specialist, and non-stocked items that are simply not practical to list online.

Save Time on Hard-to-Find Items

Rather than spending hours across multiple supplier websites and trade catalogues, send your enquiry to our team and let us do the legwork. We will review your request, check available sourcing routes, and come back to you with suitable options.

Support for Complex or Technical Requirements

Where products are technical, niche, project-specific, or required in larger quantities, a dedicated sourcing route is often the more practical and efficient option. Our team is experienced in handling specification-led and project-based requirements.

Better Support for RFQs

For products that require formal pricing, lead time confirmation, availability checks, or bulk quotation, our sourcing team can manage the process properly — handling the back-and-forth with suppliers so you receive clear, accurate information before committing to an order.

A More Practical Route for Trade Buyers

Sitex SourceLink is built specifically to support real-world procurement — whether that is a one-off specialist item or a recurring project supply requirement.

How It Works

Using Sitex SourceLink is straightforward. Submit your enquiry with as much detail as possible, and our team will handle the rest.

1. Submit Your Request
Complete the SourceLink sourcing form with your product details, specification, quantity, and contact information. Include any brand, model, dimensions, technical requirements, or reference files where available.

2. Our Team Reviews It
John Docherty and the Sitex Industrial sourcing team will assess your request and identify the best available sourcing routes through our wider supplier and trade network.

3. We Come Back with Options
Where possible, we will provide suitable product options along with pricing guidance, availability details, and lead times — or a formal quotation where required.

4. You Review and Proceed
Once you have received the information, you can decide whether to move forward with the order or continue the conversation if further clarification is needed. There is no obligation to proceed.

Sitex SourceLink is the right choice when:

Ideal for RFQs and Project Enquiries

Sitex SourceLink is particularly well suited to request-for-quote enquiries involving:

This makes SourceLink a genuinely useful service for customers who need more than standard retail ordering — and a more connected route between online convenience and real-world procurement.
