What ONBOARD by Sitex Direct is — and what it isn't
As a Sitex Marketplace vendor you have your own free vendor portal on Sitex Direct where you manage your listings, products, and orders. That portal is your primary tool and remains free to use at all times.
ONBOARD by Sitex Direct at onboard.sitexdirect.com is a companion service that does two things:
1. Guides new vendors through the marketplace application process step by step
2. Offers premium product submission services — for vendors who want Sitex staff to handle their listings professionally on the Sitex Direct store
✅ Uploading your products is free. ONBOARD gives you options for how involved you want to be.
Getting access
ONBOARD by Sitex Direct is invite-only. To apply for vendor access, email: support[at]sitexdirect.com
Once approved you receive an email with your login credentials and a direct link to the portal.
Signing in: Visit onboard.sitexdirect.com, enter your email and password, and click Sign in to ONBOARD. SSO is also available. Tick Remember me for 30 days on personal devices.
Adding team members
Your account supports up to three additional team members alongside the account owner. Product submissions, catalogue uploads, and account management can all be shared or delegated to colleagues within your business.

Your dashboard
The dashboard is your home screen and shows:
- Action alert — amber banner at the top whenever a step needs your attention, with a direct button to the relevant section
- Onboarding progress tracker — six steps colour-coded: green (done), indigo (active), grey (upcoming)
- Credits widget — your current credit balance for Tier 2 single product submissions (does not apply to free batch uploads)
- Quick actions — shortcut buttons to Free batch upload, Download template, Submit a product, and Buy credits
- Application timeline — a chronological record of every milestone in your application
Your onboarding journey

The recommended route for any vendor with an existing product catalogue. Upload your full range in one go.
Click Free batch upload in the sidebar, then download sitex-marketplace-product-template.csv. Open in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet and fill in your products. You do not have to use the ONBOARD template — upload your own existing spreadsheet and ONBOARD will auto-map your column headings.
Drag your file onto the upload zone on the Free batch upload page, or click to browse. Accepted formats: .csv, .xlsx, .xls. A progress bar shows processing, then a conversion preview appears for you to check before confirming.
Fill in the short confirmation form (company name, email, category, fulfilment method), add any notes for the team, and click Submit & notify admin. You receive a confirmation email with a reference number. The Sitex team reviews and contacts you if anything needs adjusting before products go live.
Cost: 1 credit per submission (included in any paid plan).
A clean, step-by-step screen interface for submitting individual products to the Sitex Direct store. Designed for vendors who prefer a guided form over a spreadsheet, or who are adding one product at a time.
💡 The free batch upload does not use credits. If you have a full catalogue to upload, Tier 1 is the free route.
What the Sitex team does with your submission
Every product submitted through this route receives a full professional treatment before going live on the Sitex Direct store:
♦ Full professional rewrite — your product title and description are rewritten from scratch. Titles structured for search performance; descriptions written to convert trade buyers on Sitex Direct
♦ Enhanced product imagery — where applicable your images are enhanced, reformatted, and sequenced to meet Sitex Direct marketplace presentation standards. The team selects and positions the main image for maximum impact
♦ Category and attribute placement — your product placed in the correct category with all relevant filters, specifications, and attributes applied
♦ Quality review before listing — every submission checked before it appears live. Nothing goes live until it meets the standard
1. Click Submit a product in the sidebar
2. Complete the five sections of the form — you are guided through every field:
1 — Product identity | Name, description, category, brand, SKU, barcode |
2 — Pricing and stock | Price, sale price, stock quantity, tax class, shipping, fulfilment |
3 — Dimensions and weight | Weight (kg), length, width, height (cm), pack size |
4 — Product attributes | Colour, material, size, certifications, and any other specifications |
5 — Notes for the team | Trade pricing, special handling, or anything else useful |
Images: Upload up to four product images in the right panel. PNG, JPG, or WebP, max 5MB each. The first image is automatically set as the main listing image. The Sitex team will enhance and reformat images as part of the submission process.
The right panel shows a live Submission summary and your remaining credit balance before you confirm. Click Submit product when ready. You receive a confirmation email, then a further notification when your product is live on Sitex Direct.
Cost: Monthly subscription or pay-as-you-go ad hoc. Entirely optional.
The most hands-off option. You provide your product information through a simple, intuitive screen — guided through every step — and the Sitex team handles everything from there. Your listing is professionally written, imaged, optimised, and published live on Sitex Direct on your behalf.
💡 Managed listings is available in two distinct ways. There is no obligation to subscribe — you can use the ad hoc route for as little as a single product with no ongoing commitment.

How to subscribe or place an ad hoc order
1. Click Managed listings in the sidebar
2. To subscribe: select your plan, toggle monthly or annual, complete Stripe checkout
3. To order ad hoc: select the ad hoc option, choose your quantity, complete Stripe checkout
4. A PDF invoice is emailed immediately after payment in both cases

Credits apply only to Tier 2 single product submissions. Free batch CSV uploads never use credits.

- Credits reset automatically on your billing date each month
- Email warning sent when you reach 80% of your monthly allowance
- When credits reach zero, single submissions pause until you top up or credits reset

Your invoices
Every paid transaction — plan subscriptions, ad hoc listing orders, and credit top-ups — is automatically invoiced and stored under My invoices. Free batch uploads generate no invoice. Each PDF includes your company details, itemised line items with VAT breakdown, Stripe transaction reference, and Sitex Industrial's VAT registration number. Valid VAT receipts for your accounting records.
Commission and payouts
Sitex charges 12% commission on all completed sales. No listing fees, no setup fees, no hidden costs. Payouts processed monthly to your registered bank account.

## Tips
- Free batch upload is the fastest route for your catalogue — no credits, no subscription, no limit on volume
- Use your own spreadsheet if you already have one — ONBOARD auto-maps the columns
- Delegate to your team — up to three additional team members can be added to your account
- Try managed listings ad hoc first — submit a single product with no subscription to experience the service before committing to a plan
- Product images matter — white or neutral background, minimum 800×800px, no watermarks. For Tier 2 and Tier 3 the Sitex team enhances your images as part of the service
- Use the notes field on any submission to flag trade pricing, special handling, or anything unusual — it avoids delays
